Services FAQ
Is everything really free?
Almost. The checkers, guides and most tools cost nothing. Monitoring beyond 3 URLs, hosting and builds are paid, and each is labeled.
Where does the outage data come from?
From our own servers. We request each site and record the response. Nobody votes.
Can a site be down for me but fine on your board?
Yes. We check from our servers, so a problem limited to your network, region or ISP may not show up. If we say it's up and you can't load it, check your DNS and connection first.
How do you make money?
Ads, affiliate links, domain sales, hosting and builds. The full list is on the funding page.
