Terms of Service

Last updated: October 6, 2026.

UptimeDown performs one-off, best-effort availability probes. Results are the latest observed check — not a guarantee, SLA, or security audit.

Accuracy limits

Results may be affected by network conditions, rate limiting, bot detection and WAF challenges (e.g. Cloudflare). A site that blocks automated probes is reported as “Issues — up for real visitors”, never as down. Treat every result as informational.

Fair use

• Only check public URLs you have a reason to test. No automated scraping of this tool (30 req/min/IP).
• Private/internal hosts, localhost and metadata endpoints are blocked and never probed.
• Don't rely on results for safety-critical decisions.

Ads & affiliates

The free checker is supported by display advertising and clearly-labeled affiliate recommendations (rel="sponsored nofollow" with disclosure). We do not control third-party sites we link to and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.

Liability

Provided "as is", without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude liability for reliance on results.
