FAQ
Is this down checker free?
Yes. Manual checks are free, no account. Display-ad impressions (no clicks needed) pay for servers.
Does a 404 or 403 mean the site is down?
No. The server answered, so the site is reachable — that page is missing or denied. A 500/502, timeout or DNS failure points at the origin itself.
What do Online / Issues / Unreachable mean?
Online: HTTP <400 and fast. Issues: reachable but 5xx/429/TLS-broken or >3s slow. Unreachable: DNS, timeout, refused connection, or blocked private host.
Is it down for everyone or just me?
Our server-side check answers the “everyone” half. If we say Online but you can't load it, suspect your Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS cache or browser extensions — see the troubleshooting checklist.
Do you store what I check?
Only the hostname + result + timestamp for Recently Checked. No page content, no credentials. See Privacy.
Why was my URL blocked?
Localhost, private IPs, metadata endpoints and non-http(s) schemes are refused to prevent SSRF abuse.
